Before Printing Your Piece Check on the dimensions. LETTER min 3 1/2 by 5 inches, 6 1/8 by 11 1/2 max. FLAT is a piece of mail which exceeds the dimensions for letter size mail, but does not exceed the max. of 15 inches long, 12 inches high, 3/4 thick. The postage for a flat piece is higher than for letter size pieces. Postcards (3 1/2 by 5 min, 4 1/4 x 6 max) First class mail 26 cents. Bulk mail is the same price as a letter. Consult before printing is done as to whether it should be first class or bulk. Ways to Affix Postage 1) Have either your or our Permit Imprint preprinted on most outgoing mail pieces. This saves time and money. Our Permit Imprint is 1445. 2) Postage meter. 3) Precanceled stamps. Precanceled stamp mailings must have a return address on the outside of the mailing piece. Non-profit mailing also, must have a return address on the piece. Labels or Direct Imprinting Should you print 3 up labels or give us a computer disk for direct imprinting? It depends on various factors i.e., the total piece count, design of the piece, type of paper used, thickness, color and so forth. Service Endorsements Have changed in the last couple of years, make sure you have the right wording and placement on your piece. Just because you have non-profit status with the IRS doesn't mean you can mail non-profit rates. You must have established non-profit eligibility with the Post Office.
